Selection Process:

The selection process for HPPSC Police Constable Recruitment 2024 will be carried out in four stages:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates will undergo a height and chest measurement test (for male candidates) conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Police Department. Marks will be awarded based on height measurements.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates will need to qualify in the following events:

a) Male Candidates:

• 1500 meters race in 5 minutes 30 seconds

• High jump: 1.35 meters

• Broad jump: 4 meters

• 100 meters race in 14 seconds

b) Female Candidates:

• 800 meters race in 3 minutes 45 seconds

• High jump: 1.10 meters

• Broad jump: 3 meters

• 100 meters race in 17 seconds

3. Written Examination: Qualified candidates from PST and PET will proceed to the written test, consisting of 90 objective-type questions (MCQs) based on +2 standards. The exam will be of two hours and carry 90 marks. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.

4. Document Verification & Evaluation: Candidates who successfully clear the written test will be called for document verification.

Marks will be awarded for NCC certificates:

• NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 4 marks

• NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 2 marks

• NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 1 mark

5. Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the written exam marks (90 marks), PST height marks (6 marks), and NCC certificate marks (4 marks), making a total of 100 marks.

• General, EWS, WFF, Home Guard (HP), Candidates from Other States: Rs. 600

• SC, ST, OBC, EWS (BPL) of HP: Rs. 150
